Adnan Hakkani is a second-generation modernist expressionist artist and sculptor.
Born in 1950 in Beirut, Hakkani has Bachelor’s degrees in Teaching and History. He studied arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University from 1981 until 1985.
Hakkani taught arts at public high schools. As a coordinator, he contributed to developing visual arts education programs in public schools and at the Teachers Association.
Adnan Hakkani was a member of the Board of Directors of the Lebanese Artists Association for Painters and Sculptors for several sessions.
Since 1973, Hakkani has participated in many local and international group exhibitions. He represented Lebanon in the International Exhibition in Haan, Germany, and in the European Arts Roadshow in 1996. He also participated in the International Sculpture Symposium in Aley in 2000-2001 and in the Jounieh Symposium in 2002.
