Ahmed Saïd is a second-generation modernist expressionist abstract artist.
Born in 1939 in Al Rafid, Ahmed Saïd studied art at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University from 1965 until 1969. Saïd pursued his art studies at the distinguished National School of Fine Arts in Paris in 1979 and studied modern art history at the University of Paris. Moreover, he took courses in museology at the City of Paris' Museum of Modern Art.
Ahmed Saïd taught at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University and at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA), i.e. the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts.
He organized many solo exhibitions and participated in international ones held in Lebanon, France, Italy, Brazil, Kuwait, and Iraq. In 1976, Ahmed Saïd became a member of the Paris Salon for young artists. A founding member of the Arab Artists Association in Paris in 1975, he was also a member of the Chartres Artists Association from 1977 until 1980.
